We believe that a portrait should not just be a visual representation of your physical features, but they should also say something about your personality and who you are as an individual.  Or, in the case of commercial clients, who you are and what you represent as a company or organisation.

Whether at play or at work, in the home or on location, we will tailor your shoot to suit you, your needs and your lifestyle.

Whether you wish to shoot in your home, where you work, your favourite place, or somewhere else entirely, we will be able to provide a session to show you and the location off to its very best.

Environmental portraits are a particular favourite of ours, especially in natural outdoor locations.  We have worked many times alongside rivers, lakes, waterfalls, mountains and caves, as well as in parks and woodland areas.  Of course, we’re just as comfortable with indoor locations too.  We’ve even photographed people in their favourite coffee shop!

Whenever possible, we do like to visit locations before the day of the session, to ensure as smooth shoot on the day.  In the case of location shoots, this can be invaluable for making sure that a location is safe and secure.

The studio does have its advantages over shooting in an outdoor location.  It’s warm, it’s dry, there’s the constant availability of tea and coffee, and you’re unlikely to be disturbed by dog walkers.

For those days the weather’s less than friendly, a studio session is a great option, or for if you simply wish to have something a little more traditional hanging from the walls of your home.

Traditional, however, does not have to mean boring.  Shoots will be tailored or themed to best suit you and your personality or your needs.

Studio sessions are available for both individuals and groups.

Pets can also be included in a studio session.  Please see our pet portraits section for more information, and contact us if you have any questions.

If a room in your home or workplace is large enough, we may be able to bring the studio to you!

This option is commonly chosen for large family gatherings in order to allow long distance visitors to be able to spend more time with their loved ones.  It’s also popular amongst commercial clients wishing to get staff portraits, as it means your workforce aren’t missing a day’s work to come to a photo shoot.
